The Short Version
We don't collect any of your data. Memories Import operates 100% offline on your device. Your photos, videos, and personal information never leave your phone and are never transmitted to our servers.
Information We Do NOT Collect
Memories Import does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your photos or videos
- Your Snapchat account credentials
- Your location data
- Personal information
- Device identifiers
- Usage analytics
- Any content from your Snapchat export
How the App Works
Memories Import processes your Snapchat data export entirely on your device:
- You select a ZIP file from your device
- The app reads and processes the file locally
- Media files are downloaded directly to your device from Snapchat's servers
- Photos and videos are saved to your device's camera roll
- No data is ever sent to our servers
No Account Required
Memories Import does not require you to create an account. We don't collect your email address, name, or any other personal information.
Third-Party Services
The app interacts with the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases. These platforms have their own privacy policies.
- Snapchat's servers: When you import memories, the app downloads media files directly from Snapchat's CDN using the links in your export file. We do not intercept, store, or have access to this data.
- RevenueCat: For processing in-app purchases. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase data. See their privacy policy.
- Firebase: For crash reporting and basic analytics to help us improve app stability. This data is anonymized and does not include your photos, videos, or personal content.
Data Storage
All app data is stored locally on your device:
- Import progress and preferences are stored in local app storage
- Imported media is saved to your device's photo library
- No data is backed up to our servers
Children's Privacy
Memories Import does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is designed for users who have their own Snapchat account and data export.
